Ministry
of Consolation
Our parish will begin support sessions for individuals who are
experiencing grief through the death of a loved one. The
Church calls each member of Christ’s Body to participate in the
ministry of consolation: to care for the dying, to pray for the
dead, to comfort all who mourn. Our Lord is the example of comfort
and support to the grieving. If you are interested in this
ministry to the bereaved, please contact
Sr. Jolenta, our Pastoral Associate, at 412.771.5483 or via our
online contact form.
Bereavement Sessions
Bereavement sessions for those experiencing grief
through the death of a loved one are offered at our parish twice a
year, February and September. There are two sessions -- 10:30
AM or 7:00 PM -- on Thursdays for seven weeks. Both sessions are in
the Rectory Meeting Room. If you have any questions,
please contact Sister Jolenta at 412.771.5483 or via
our online contact form. Anyone
interested in a session outside of these times should also contact
Sr. Jolenta.
